  Help me to answer a few questions for a current JW?

  i'm talking to this girl right now who is technically still a witness.

  she doenst go to the meetings anymore but not because she does not feel its the truth.

  her parents are no longer witnesses and i want to get her to see the truth about the "truth" before she decides to go back in.

  they carefully word every article, not only for the faithful, but for the unfaithful, and for those who have never believed our faith.

  the above article and the comments here show me their great wisdom, because they have achieved exactly what they wanted.

  IMO all they can do is hold on to the suckers still in.

  Like I always say they are like an inbred family they have stifled the gene pool and can no longer attract those on the outside.

  one of my co-workers here (a non-baptized, non-attending meeting son of a jw) told me yesterday that his jw cousin told him that the end is right at the doorstep because of the calm and complacency seen not only in the "world" but also in the congregation.

  he told him that this "lack of zeal" was not due to a lack of love for jehovah, but was gods way of fulfilling prophecy.

  the jw cousin then went on to cite the example of the folks of noah's time when everyone was partying and having a good time and suddenly the flood came and that was all she wrote.

  thing is you cannot keep a group people of in expectation of the great and fear inspiring day of jehovah...for over a century?!?

  it will wear them out. hell even moses father in law said as much.

  Overlapping generation segment on the new Circuit Assembly program

  so there i was at the circuit assembly sunday morning with my eyes glazed over as usual when all of a sudden, bam!

  a demo with two brothers talking about the new overlapping generation teaching.

  the reason it took me by surprise was because it occured during the second talk of the sunday morning symposium, "sanctify god's name by your speech".

  Tough Question: Should "I" still party with JWs?

  "ello everybody!

  it's been a long time.

  a couple of months, i guess.. i have a dilemma, kinda, and i would take any suggestions or offers.. so, i've been inactive now for a whole year now.. by now, i'm sure word has spread of my inactiveness.

  For me I do not hang with JW's on their terms (activities they put together or outings with a lot of dubs.)

  There are 2 main reasons for this and ironically both are the same.

  1st I dont want some one to start that pitying complaint most dubs get that 'Boy I am enjoying your company now but I wish you were going to the hall so I can continue to enjoy your company and not feel guilty about it.'

  2nd I dont want a former JW 'friend' to have to lie about hanging with me or feel some guilt because they know I dont go to the hall.

  Basically it comes down to if I am spending time with someone They have to be a genuine friend! I cant have no ify wishy washy people in my life who if pressured would turn their back on me as soon as an elder ask them to.
